Jack Smith won the prize for Best Exhibition from the Faculty of Sciences at this year’s PhD Spotlight event, as part of YorkTalks 2019!
Jack’s exhibition ‘Listening to Insects with iPhones’ featured a demonstration of his prototype app for identifying insect species by recording and processing their social calls as part of the Bioacoustic Identification of Species project.
Dan Johnston was also in the PhD Spotlight event, demonstrating his Soundfields VR exposure therapy game.
