AudioLab PhD student Marc Green was selected as one of ten finalists in the University of York’s three minute thesis (3MT) competition. He had just three minutes and one PowerPoint slide in which to communicate his research to a non-specialist audience as part of York’s Festival of Ideas. The competition is geared towards demonstrating how research impacts wider society.
Marc says “I am thrilled to have been selected as a finalist and to be able to talk to the public about the work I’ve been doing with the AudioLab. It’s been a real challenge to condense what I’ve been doing into such a short space of time, especially now I’m in my third year and have quite a lot of work under my belt! It’s been really useful though in terms of taking stock and thinking about the essence of why I’m doing what I’m doing.”
Unfortunately, Marc didn’t win, but had a fantastic time regardless!
