On the 9th May, Damian Murphy gave his inaugural lecture as Professor of Sound and Music Computing in the Berrick Saul Bowland Auditorium. Damian explored research that has emerged from the Department of Electronic Engineering AudioLab, as part of more than thirty years of the University of York’s contribution to the shape and definition of this audio and music technology. He gave a whirlwind tour through his research endeavours, from the creation of virtual sound environments to the impact of sound on our environment, through listening to the past to telling stories in new ways for next generation audiences. The lecture was to a full house!
Congratulations to Prof. Damian Murphy @SoundLabArtist! Very much looking forward to your inaugural lecture. @AudioLabYork pic.twitter.com/lairHyxokU
