Biography
Alan is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at CoSTAR LiveLAB. His PhD focused on applying Machine Learning (ML) in live environments. His previous research explored esport broadcast narratives, aiming to ensure that ML solutions complement existing storytelling strategies and ultimately enhance both the audience experience and User Experience (UX) more broadly. Alan’s current research investigates the UX of AI and AI for UX; examining how users interact with AI systems, and how AI can support a deeper understanding of users for analysis and design purposes
