Having graduated from Staffordshire University (2015) with a BSc (Hons) degree in Creative Music Technology & Salford University (2019) with a MSc in Audio Production Jay joined the AudioLab as a PhD student in 2020. His current research explores the creative applications and technical challenges relating to the production of context aware personalised audio experiences. This is being conducted under the supervision of Prof. Damian Murphy and in collaboration with BBC R&D & XR Stories.

Jay’s work outside of research includes audio production for music, video games, film & broadcast, whilst his work as a technologist involves the development of multidisciplinary sound installations and musical instruments.”
