Biography

Jay Harrison is a Research Associate working on the EPSRC funded XR Network+ project. He conducts research in the areas of data, evidence and policy, on and for sectors of the creative industries and digital economy where virtual production and related convergent technologies are having an impact. In 2024 Jay completed a PhD in Electronic Engineering at the AudioLab under the supervision of Prof Damian Murphy and in collaboration with BBC R&D. Jay also holds a BSc in Creative Music Technology from Staffordshire University and an MSc in Audio Production from Salford University. Jay has experience of producing and touring interactive sound installations and also works as a technician in the sports broadcasts industry.
