ORCID: 0000-0003-1026-5486

Research Interests

  • Acoustic measurements, protocols and uncertainty
  • Artificial reverberation
  • Active acoustics

Biography

Karolina graduated with BSc and MSc in Acoustic Engineering from AGH University of Kraków and with BA in Interior Architecture from Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. In 2022, she obtained her doctoral degree in Acoustics and Audio Signal Processing at Aalto University in Espoo, where she stayed as a postdoctoral researcher until 2024. In her doctoral research, Karolina focused on robust measurement and prediction of reverberation in rooms, as well as development and improvement of artificial reverberation algorithms. Currently, she continues with the topics related to robust acoustic measurements and artificial reverberation, while also focussing on developing post-processing methods for room impulse responses and optimizing active acoustics solutions for performance spaces.
